Hosseini, is a 501(c)3 public charity dedicated to providing collaborative solutions for families with children who experience hardships due to homelessness, poverty, or unfamiliarity with community resources. Unfortunately, there are more than 2,000 homeless children attending Volusia County Schools, as well as over 600 in Flagler County Schools. Hope for our community's children depends on our capacity to meet their most basic needs, giving every child the opportunity to fulfill their full potential. We currently serve over 1,700 students in 29 schools.

This year they have committed to investing in the future of the children at R J Longstreet Elementary School, by funding the schools Intervention & Enrichment Program. Ponce Inlet Realty Donates Funds for Student Bicycles

Ponce Inlet Realty donates funds to furnish bicycles for FBH Staff Report Ponce Inlet Realty recently donated $5,000 to Food Brings Hope to purchase bicycles for students in FBH programs who have difficulty securing transportation to and from school. Since 2008, all of the agents share 1% of their earned commission to local organizations; this year the company chose to donate to FBH. “This generous donation will provide needy students with a way to get to school and help boost attendance each day,” FBH Executive Director Judi Winch said. The River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization will provide free helmets to each student who receives a bicycle. Pamela Blankenship, community outreach coordinator/Title VI coordinator, visited the Turie T. Small Elementary Kids Zone program and fitted each student for a safe fit.

Ponce Inlet Realty recently donated $5,000 to FBH to provide new bicycles for KidsZone and TeenZone students who struggle with transportation to and from school. Each year, Ponce Inlet Realty’s agents share one per-cent of their earned commission to donate to local organizations. This year they chose to donate to Food Brings Hope. The first bicycle delivery to Turie T. Small Elementary happened on January 21st. Eleven students were given bicycles, chain locks and helmets. The helmets were provided free of charge by the River-to-Sea Transpor-tation Planning Organization. Pam Blankenship, Community Outreach Coordinator, fitted each student with a helmet so they can safely ride to school.

VA NJ Health Care System VFW Post 3282 Halifax Urban Ministries

This year, Ponce Inlet Realty chose to again donate handmade hats, mats & scarves to the VFW Post 3282 in Port Orange and also VA NJ Health Care System for its homeless Veterans’ program, Lyons, NJ. Ponce Inlet Realty also worked with the Halifax Urban Ministries to help families in need for Christmas. Purchases included furniture, toys, clothing, car tires and more.

Ponce Inlet Realty continues the tradition of giving and especially to those in need. Ponce Inlet Realty agents have been sharing 1 percent of their earned commission, totaling over $50,000 to date, with local organizations since 2008. This year, Ponce Inlet Realty chose to donate hats, mats and $5,000 to the VFW Post 3282 in Port Orange for its homeless Veterans’ program and a new generator. Ponce Inlet Realty also contributed $2,700 to the Longstreet community school to tutor 12 children, who need extra help; and $1,200 to fulfill the wish of 8 local children with toys and clothes; for a total of over $8,500 in 2017.

This year Ponce Inlet Realty chose to help the local homeless veterans. Local residents, along with the folks at Ponce Inlet Realty, donated, gathered, cut, crafted and crocheted thousands of plastic grocery bags and recycled them into 50 waterproof sleeping mats for homeless vets. Additionally Ponce Inlet Realty donated $5,000 to the VFW Post 3282 in Port Orange for its homeless veterans program. Ponce Inlet Realty agents have been sharing 1 percent of their earned commission, totaling $40,000 to date, with local charities since 2007.

Veteran Allen Brown Home Makeover

Water leaks had damaged a wall and the floor, making U.S. Army veteran Allen Brown’s mobile home nearly uninhabitable. That was until real estate agents at Ponce Inlet Realty organized a makeover of Brown’s residence with the assistance of several local businesses. Agents donated $3001.66 plus $358 for December’s rent. The total donations from all totaled $8341.66. The effort was celebrated Tuesday, Veteran Day, with about 20 agents and others delivering a new lamp, smoke detector, coffee table and kitchen items to Brown. Other companies who donated their time and supplies were Sunshine State Construction, Trott’s Carpet, Madeline’s Furniture, John’s Appliance, My Handyman Inc, B.A.B. Bedding & Sun Coast Appliance.

Sara Gaver has Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita which significantly impacts her mobility due to numerous missing or fused joints and muscles throughout the body. She is currently confined to a wheelchair and the prognosis is not likely to change. With the help of community donations she will be returning to The University of North FL this fall as a Sophomore.

This donation will go toward purchasing food, while others who donate their time, will prepare to fill the bags with five balanced meals to serve a family of four. 350 tons of food are distributed each year. 40% of low income families become homeless. Our Real Estate Agents donate 1% of their commission toward charities that provide Food Assistance in the community. Real estate sales agents donate 1% of their commissions earned to the Battered Women’s Shelter, a service of the Domestic Abuse Council. The purpose of the Domestic Abuse Council, Inc. is to provide emergency shelter, victim advocacy, transitional housing, support and education groups for victims, info., referral services, case management, residential and community programs for child witnesses of domestic violence. Legal advocacy, community education and professional training also provided.

This organization has become the tiny towns’ shoulder to rely on. Whether it’s helping with job searches, faxing resumes or delivering food, the Crisis Center is there to help.
